About the SmarTrack 5
The SmarTrack 5 is an insurance-approved vehicle tracker certified to the Thatcham S5 standard. It combines professional vehicle tracking with Driver Recognition technology, helping to provide a higher level of theft protection than a standard S7 tracker.
The system uses Driver Recognition through either the D-iD mobile app or a Driver Detection card/tag to help identify whether an authorised person is using the vehicle. If the vehicle is moved without the authorised driver recognition method being detected, the monitoring system can respond to the security alert. You can also use the secure online account and mobile app to view current and historical vehicle locations.
The SmarTrack 5 is ideal for customers whose insurance requires a Thatcham S5 tracker, or for drivers who want enhanced protection against vehicle theft. It is a strong choice for customers who want Driver Recognition and professional monitoring without the additional immobilisation features of the SmarTrack 5+ or 5+ iMOB.
